Last few days have been stressful, frustrating and annoying to say the least. Rewind, the four of us sent our passport to Singapore back in march for our Uzbek visa. A friend of our’s, Amit, very kindly agreed to take our passports to the Uzbek embassy in singapore to get it stamped and then return it to us. On the 28th March, he sent 3 passports to Auckland and 4th (Sunny’s) to Melbourne. Guess what, Sunny’s passport is missing. We received ours in Auckland on the 6th.
We have been in touch with SG Post for the last few days and their “policy” is to start an investigation only after 18 working days from the date of the parcel being sent. And then, the investigation/tracking will take 60 days. Sound ridiculous, right? I thought we lived in the age of super fast computers and it would be easy enough to to track a registered article. Anyways, after a lot of emails communication and emphasizing the situation, SG Post have agreed to escalate this case and will try to track where the missing passport is.
